Unexpected change.

8am-8pm. Comes into our bed at least once or twice a week in the middle of the night for a few hours. No one minds. It’s nice to snuggle.

Daily struggle to try new foods. Some days he will try spinach and onions and peppers and yams like a real champ and other days he acts like a bite of broccoli is the end of the world. Loves typical kid foods and is suspicious of most vegetables. Enjoys peas and a few fruits. Obsessed with things that taste good like chocolate and cheese (duh). Still eats dinners in a high chair like a giant sized baby because we are resistant to change and then he can’t get up from the table. Favorites include soft pretzels, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, and chicken wings.

I am writing this to my future self to remind me that when Eva is a three-year-old and suddenly behaves as if possessed by demons, it’s okay. It will get better. A rollercoaster of great and terrible moments.
